Johns Italian Deli: Savor Authentic Italian Flavors in Halethorpe, MD

Today for lunch My work ordered from this place. Everyone's food was delicious! I got a simple BLT and onion rings. The bread was perfectly toasted and they did not skip out on the bacon. The Onion rings are so good and perfectly fried! It was so good and I'm definitely ordering again.

The lady who took my order was super friendly. I ordered a Italian cold cut and a order of fries. She offered me the combo and I received a drink and a better price,which was super sweet for her to offer that. Most places don't have enough courtesy to care that much. My food was made and away I went. At home I enjoyed one of the best subs ever. It was amazing.

One of the 3 best Italian cold cuts in Baltimore. The hype was merited here. It was a little out of my way to get to but completely worth it as I was really in the mood for a killer hoagie. The meat was a little thicker than I prefer but it's a great sandwich. One of the best in the state for that matter. Recommended. Placed the order over the phone and it was ready quickly and they got all the mods right. If I lived nearby I'd be here every week.

John's Big Italian Cold Cut! This sub is a game changer. When they say big, they mean big. You can barely close this sub but the amount of flavor is explosive. I'm a big onion fan and this thing doesn't disappoint. The cheese steak is also great, salads are huge and filling. This place has everything you'd ever need from a local sub/pizza shop. I've never been let down here. The price is mid range but it's all worth it.

Not the fanciest place or best neighborhood, but they have great food! If you’re in the area I definitely recommend stopping in. Everything was really great.

Best Italian hoagie (pic) in town. Really. Take a look at the picture up. Close. That stuff that looks kind of weird smeared all over the sandwich. It was actually their homemade crushed parmesan in oil spread. It really sets this sandwich apart from their competitors. I also had grilled chicken Caesar salad which was great. It's hard to find a place anymore that will actually grill a fresh piece of chicken for salad or chicken sandwiches. Vegetarian wife got the pizza sub which is simply a sub roll spread open, filled with pizza toppings and baked (pic). Next visit I got the shrimp salad sandwich, and while it was decent quality ingredients, I felt it was lacking bit in flavor and salt. My doctor thanks you, John's deli. Definitely throw on some old bay. Also, I love their house dressing which is like an Italian dressing with a lot of crushed grounds, parmesan cheese bits. Perfect for smearing on top of your sub.

Gayle was an amazing host. She showed me the ropes with ordering. The food was amazing and the size of the subs are crazy.

My first time visit. Great local place. Clean and home local feeling. Everyone I witnessed were polite, nice down to earth. Tough choice to make on the food based on the review photos I saw. I got the cheesesteak, provolone, lettuce, tomato. Pretty damn good with portion size and taste. One guy I met raved about the Italian cold cut he has been getting for decades. I ll have to try it next time I am here
